Summary
The National Center for Youth Athletics (THE CENTER) will be launching the 2010 Sit Up for Diabetes® Championship Series “Changing Your Life in 60 Seconds” Campaign.
 
Sit Up for Diabetes® Championship Series is designed to actively engage youth by providing a charitable competitive forum to reinforce proper nutrition and athletics throughout the school year and to bring awareness of the dangers diabetes and obesity pose to children.
 
Starting January 4, 2010 THE CENTER will be visiting schools and youth sporting leagues throughout Utah during the 2009/2010 school year. Students and youth will be able to participate in two 60 second competitions for the most sit-ups and push-ups.
 
The winners of each boys & girls age bracket will represent their school in the semi-finals held in May, 2010. Semi-finalists will represent their school district in the State Championships held on September 24-25, 2010 at the Strong Mind ~ Strong Body ~ Strong Community Expo at the Ogden Eccles Conference Center.
 
 
Immediate Responsibilities
Implement the following in support of the 2010 Sit Up for Diabetes® campaign:
  • Contact local business and retail outlets to establish them as Donation Centers for donation boxes and materials to be placed on site
  • Contact local businesses to establish the Company/Employee Voucher Program
  • Contact local schools to establish the School Program
  • Contact gyms, fitness centers and city recreation centers to establish the Fitness Facility Program
 
 
Education, skills and Experience
  • 2 years of college or equivalent work experience
  • 3-5 years sales experience
  • Must have worked independently (home office experience preferred)
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Self-starter with ability for timely follow-up
  • Organized with ability to handle several tasks at the same time.
  • Computer literate and proficient with using the Internet and Microsoft Office.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Proven track record in commission based sales is highly desired.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus
  • Basic accounting and record keeping of multiple transactions

Fast track opportunities
 
Upon satisfactory completion of the immediate responsibilities for the Territory Representative position a Territory Director position will be created.
 
Responsibilities
  • Working sales Territory Director
  • Manage over Territory Representative(s) or other personnel
  • Achieve maximum sales in assigned territory by working with both existing customers and targeting new accounts.
  • Meet or exceed Market Share, Revenue and Profitability goals.
  • Work with the Executive Director to develop a comprehensive territory management program that includes: Territory planning, Account analysis, and Pre-call planning. The goal of this plan is to develop a measurable pathway to: 1. Maintain existing accounts 2. Grow existing accounts 3. Obtain new accounts from the competition.
  • Appropriately allocate call frequency between existing customer base and opportunity accounts Track daily activities and submit weekly progress reports.
  • Submit an updated sales forecast on a quarterly basis which will be reviewed with the Executive Director
  • Prepare accurate sales reports, deal checklists, folders and finance documents
